It's Christmas time in Arundel...yay!

Arundel is bursting with excellent independent shops which provide great opportunities to buy your loved-ones something really special which they won't be seeing everywhere else. Although it is a bit on the pricey side!

Not only is the town full of excellent shops for the Christmas presents - but it is also a great place to shop because there are so many cafes and eateries to refuel at.

The top tips for shopping in Arundel are to get there early - parking can sometimes be a bit tricky - so in the run up to Christmas get there early so you don't have to fight your way into the car parks.

I think that one of the best places to refuel is at Pizza Express. They have such a tasty menu at the moment. Last weekend I took a much-needed pitstop and feasted on their lovely tiramisu pudding. It was utterly divine. And unfortunately I didn't get to taste it but I spied it on the menu - a Baileys Latte - sounds amazing.

Then you could get some fresh air and head down to the Swanbourne Lodge Tea Rooms to enjoy a cuppa and feed the ducks and walk around the pond - before getting back to your shopping.

My top shops for shopping are Sparks Yard, the Book Ferret and the Christmas Shop (it seems the obvious choice!!).

If you think that my top tips for shopping (and feasting) aren't good ones - then add a comment to this story and tell me where you would recommend.

I like the Christmas shop in Arundel, it has such pretty things for Christmas and the staff are so friendly. I would go for a tea in the small tea room in Tarrant Street. I think it's called the Country Kitchen.
