Reckless poachers wreck fields and leave carcass of deer covered in dog bites
By poppy_smith | Monday, January 09, 2012, 21:19
Fields have been damanged around Arundel after reckless poachers used an off-road vehicle to drive across them.
Police are saying that this is linked to a more horrifying discovery - the carcass of a deer which had numerous dog bites on it.
It is understood that the poachers have been using the vehicle for 'lamping' with dogs during the evening of Saturday and Sunday (7th and 8th January).
Lamping is when off road vehicles with powerful headlights are used to hunt nocturnal animals.
Police are urging anyone with any information, or who heard anything or saw the off-road vehicle to get in touch with police.
If you know anything then please call 101 or 999.
