Will James Bond fly down the river: In Arundel in his new film
National press reports claim that parts of the new 007 movie have been filmed in locations around the town.
Arun District Council hasn't been approached by the production company, but scenes may have been shot on private land outside ownership and managed by the authority.
Council Leader Gillian Brown said: "We encourage and embrace any positive promotion for Bognor Regis and the Arun District and regularly welcome production companies from big and small budget productions to the town throughout the year.
"The town is a great location to film in and of course it benefits from one of the best sunshine records in the UK.
"We've had no direct contact from the filming company and they won't comment on locations until after the film is released so we eagerly await the final film with interest to see if any of the shots turn out to be more than a little familiar."
Arun District Council grants more than 50 permissions each year for commercial filming on its lands, with interest peaking in the summer months and favourite locations being the seafront and promenades in Littlehampton and Bognor Regis and areas of historic Arundel.
Parts of the district have been featured in international blockbusters The Young Victoria, The Madness of King George and the Inbetweeners.
