Get the kids back to school

If you’re looking to get the kids their stationary and uniforms before the new school term starts - then Arundel really isn’t the best place to look.
The historic town doesn’t have any shops which specialise in stationary or uniform - but there is a splattering of notebooks, rulers and pens available if you look hard enough.
Martins newsagent, at the bottom of the High Street, has a great section of cheap stationary that’s completely functional - but not mega trendy.
They have a 99p range at the moment which includes: fountain pen, pencils, biros, staples, brightly-coloured sticky notes, mini highlighters, files and glue.
In Martins regular stationary range you can pic up an 80-leave refill pad for £2.15, a Pukka pad for £1.80 and a calculator for £4.55. They also sell rulers, rubbers and smaller notebooks.
But if you’re after something a bit snazzier then try Sparks Yard. But you’ll be buying the little darlings moleskin notebooks for them to scrawl all over which cost at least £10 a pop.
If your children need some books so that they are pumped up with literary knowledge by the time they go back to school then look no further than Kim’s Bookshop in the High Street.
This treasure trove of books opened in 2003 and the stock has been widely expanded and upgraded to cover all subjects and genres. The stock here tends to be older, collectable titles but there are still plenty of up-to-date reads on its shelves.
As for buying uniform in the town - there isn’t anywhere.
To get uniform or proper deals on stationary head over to Littlehampton as they have a big Tesco which does cheap deals on everything you could possibly want to go back to school.
Or there’s a great website you can you - check this out if you want to order uniform online.
If you know of anywhere that sells uniform in the town then please post a comment on this story.
